Thank you for using RecToGo. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our audio recording application ("RecToGo" or "the App"). By using RecToGo, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
RecToGo collects and uses the following information for the specified purposes:
1.1 Audio Recording Data
- What we collect: Audio recordings created by you using the App's recording functionality
- How we collect it: Through microphone access when you actively record audio
- How we use it:
- To provide the core recording functionality of the App
- To store recordings locally on your device
- To upload recordings to your chosen cloud storage service (Google Drive or iCloud Drive) when you opt to use these features
Important: We do not access, collect, or store your recording content on our servers. All recordings remain under your control, stored either locally on your device or in your personal cloud storage accounts.
1.2 Google Account Information (Google Drive Integration Only)
- What we collect: Google account email address and basic profile information
- How we collect it: Through Google's authentication system when you choose to connect Google Drive
- How we use it:
- To authenticate your identity for Google Drive access
- To enable uploading of your recordings to your Google Drive account
- To display and manage folders in your Google Drive for organizing recordings
1.3 Google Drive Data
- What we collect: Metadata about files and folders in your Google Drive (names, folder structure), and the audio files you choose to upload
- How we collect it: Through the Google Drive API when you use the Google Drive storage feature
- How we use it:
- To upload your audio recordings to your selected Google Drive folder
- To display your Google Drive folder structure for choosing upload destinations
- To create new folders in your Google Drive when requested
1.4 iCloud Drive Data
- What we collect: Audio files you choose to upload to iCloud Drive
- How we collect it: Through iOS iCloud Drive integration when you use the iCloud storage feature
- How we use it: To store your recordings in your personal iCloud Drive account for cross-device access
1.5 What We Don't Collect
RecToGo does not collect:
- Analytics data about your app usage
- Advertising identifiers
- Location data
- Contact information
- Any personal data beyond what's necessary for the App's core functionality
2. Data Storage and Security
2.1 Local Storage
- Audio recordings are stored in the App's dedicated storage area on your iOS device
- Local recordings are protected by iOS's app sandboxing security model
- Only you and the RecToGo app can access these locally stored files
2.2 Cloud Storage Security
- Google Drive: We use Google's secure API with industry-standard OAuth 2.0 authentication. We only request the minimum necessary permissions (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive) to upload files and manage folders - iCloud Drive: Files are stored in your personal iCloud container (
iCloud.com.moriyatee.rectogo) and protected by Apple's iCloud security infrastructure - All cloud uploads use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
2.3 Data Access Permissions
RecToGo requests only the minimum permissions necessary:
- Microphone access: Required for audio recording functionality
- Google Drive access: Only when you choose to use Google Drive storage
- iCloud Drive access: Only when you choose to use iCloud Drive storage
3. Third-Party Services
3.1 Google Drive Integration
When you choose to use Google Drive storage:
- Your data is shared with Google LLC according to Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- We use the Google Drive API to upload your recordings and manage folders
- You can disconnect Google Drive integration at any time through the App's settings
3.2 iCloud Drive Integration
When you choose to use iCloud Drive storage:
- Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account according to Apple's Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/privacy/
- Files are automatically synchronized across your Apple devices signed into the same iCloud account
- You can disconnect iCloud Drive integration at any time through the App's settings
4. Your Rights and Choices
4.1 Data Control
- Local recordings: You can delete any locally stored recording directly within the App
- Cloud recordings: You can delete recordings from your Google Drive or iCloud Drive through the respective services or the App interface
- Account disconnection: You can disconnect Google Drive or iCloud Drive integration at any time through the App's settings
4.2 Data Deletion
To delete your data:
- Local recordings: Use the delete function within the App or uninstall the App
- Google Drive recordings: Delete files from your Google Drive account or disconnect the integration
- iCloud recordings: Delete files from your iCloud Drive or disable iCloud integration
- Account data: Sign out of Google Drive integration to revoke access permissions
4.3 Data Portability
- Your recordings remain in standard audio formats (.m4a, .wav) and can be accessed directly from your device or cloud storage
- You maintain full control and ownership of all your recording content
5. Children's Privacy
RecToGo is available to users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use this App. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information.
6. Data Retention
- Local recordings: Stored on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App
- Cloud recordings: Stored in your Google Drive or iCloud Drive according to your account settings and the respective service's retention policies
- Authentication data: Google Drive authentication tokens are stored locally and can be revoked by disconnecting the integration
7. International Data Transfers
If you use Google Drive integration, your data may be processed and stored on Google's servers worldwide. Google maintains appropriate safeguards for international data transfers as described in their Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy
- For significant changes, we will notify you through the App or other appropriate means
- Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy

If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal data, please contact us through the App Store review system. While we may not be able to respond to individual inquiries, we review all feedback to improve our privacy practices.
10. Legal Compliance
This Privacy Policy is governed by Japanese law. For any disputes arising from this policy, the district court with jurisdiction over the developer's address shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
